We adopted our black lab pup Miley (formerly known as Charlotte) from you in March 2008. She is the perfect addition to our family! She loves her older sister Zoey and the two play for hours in the backyard and then sleep together on the couch! If there is anything that we can ever do to help you out please let us know. We have lots and lots of lab mixes and we need to find more homes as this shelter is a kill shelter. Happy to see people who appreciate big black dogs! Message From: Joyce Yonker April 20, 2008 Volunteer for Fayette County Dog Pound in Ohio and work really hard at helping their dogs find rescues to go into- as you stated the black dogs are the hardest to find placement for and it is wonderful that this organization tries to help these dogs and other dogs find forever homes by pulling them from the dog pounds. We have always bought our dogs from breeders but then we found your web site and we are in the process of adopting one of your babies.... He loves to snuggle with me on the couch at night, go camping, swimming, boating, and go for rides. Now that I have him I can't imagine my life without him. He also appears to be part pit bull which just made him that much more "unadoptable". We dressed in black together (I was a little goth child a while ago) and even though I've changed a bit since then, he's still the same black dog I fell in love with and to this day remains the standard for me. |
