Thank you all so much for everything that you do! We adopted our black lab pup Miley (formerly known as Charlotte) from you in March 2008. She is the perfect addition to our family! She loves her older sister Zoey and the two play for hours in the backyard and then sleep together on the couch! If there is anything that we can ever do to help you out please let us know. You are all wonderful and keep up the good work!!

We adopted Gracie, our black lab mix formerly known as Icicle, from you January 5th. She is our very best friend! I tell everyone about BDSC with my strong recommendation. Thank you for what you do, and for helping me find the wonderful dog I've always wanted!

We just want to say thank you so much for Benny!! We love him!! He's the biggest teddy bear in the world! He jumps in bed with me every morning after Tom leaves for work, he loves our kids, he loves going for walks with us, and to the park! We are so happy with him, and could not have asked for a better dog!

Words can not express how grateful we are for Black Dog Second Chance Rescue. You are highly recommended to everyone we know. Without you, there would be no Bailey (aka Bess) in our lives. To walk through the door and see her so excited to see us, leaves a special place in our heart. We couldn't of asked for a more perfect dog. Thank you so much for all that you did in the beginning months of her life and allowing us to adopt her to fulfill the rest. It is a wonderful thing that you do. - thank you -

Well, I thought I'd foster a lot of dogs for your rescue... but stopped cause I adopted the first one you sent me... imagine how many I'd want to adopt from you if I kept taking them all.... HAHA! Thanks for Snoop. All your volunteers have hearts of gold... keep up the good work.

Black happens to be my favorite color. Our black great Dane recently passed away. Nothing more beautiful than a healthy black dog's shiny coat in the sunlight. People need to change their attitudes. If you need a foster in the Syracuse area let me know.

Hello! I love your organization, and what you do. I am addicted to your site and I check it at least 2x a day! I really want to help out as well. I cannot foster any animals at this current time, but when I am able, I definitely will. Thanks! Jody

We adopted our second dog from blackdogsecondchance. She is a wonderful dog. We named her Callie Marie. She is so good and love us and being in our home. Callie has a big sister named Casey. She is a three yr old Doberman female. I am willing to donate items to you. Please let me know what you need. I can help a few times a year. Thanks for getting in touch with me and bringing Callie to us. We love her so much and she is great fun. Deanna

What a wonderful site. Do you adopt to Canada? Is there a similar organization? I am near Toronto. Thank you so much for being a voice for animals in need.

Our shelter in Dallas, GA nees help getting our black dogs out. We have lots and lots of lab mixes and we need to find more homes as this shelter is a kill shelter. Happy to see people who appreciate big black dogs! Thanks so much for all you do in rescuing some from Georgia shelters.

Volunteer for Fayette County Dog Pound in Ohio and work really hard at helping their dogs find rescues to go into- as you stated the black dogs are the hardest to find placement for and it is wonderful that this organization tries to help these dogs and other dogs find forever homes by pulling them from the dog pounds.

I just wanted to thank you all for wonderful work you do for these poor animals. We have always bought our dogs from breeders but then we found your web site and we are in the process of adopting one of your babies.... This will be the only way we will ever get a dog from now on by saving their little lives just seems to be the right thing to do....makes us all feel warm inside by saving one of GOD's creatures....GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

I adopted a black lab from my local humane society last year. He is the most wonderful, loving dog. He loves to snuggle with me on the couch at night, go camping, swimming, boating, and go for rides. Now that I have him I can't imagine my life without him. He has made a wonderful addition to our family. Thank you for all that you do to help these little lost souls find their forever homes.

We did not adopt from you, but from the spca, and our dog, Cody (a Newfoundland mix) is now 13 years old! He's older than our kids by far, and is such a part of our family! He's not all black, though.... his toes are white =) I will let others know about your organization. Thanks for the work you do!

Black dogs rock!! I hate...HATE... that the color of a dog's fur can dictate the length of his or her life. My two best dogs I ever had were a black lab and a black lab/gorden setter cross. Continue with your wonderful work and God bless you.

I have a black dog and I just love love love him! He was rescue from Ohio a day before his euthanasia date. He also appears to be part pit bull which just made him that much more "unadoptable".

I love the concept- I have a black dog of my own named Hefner, and he is my baby. We dressed in black together (I was a little goth child a while ago) and even though I've changed a bit since then, he's still the same black dog I fell in love with and to this day remains the standard for me.
